The Big Tree
The wall sticker design, commissioned by Yio Chu Kang Chapel Kindergarten, is intentionally separated into two unique scenes but visually unified by the key lines of a tree. This Big Tree draws association to the anchoring bible verse “He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season…” (Psalm 1:3). The wall sticker’s left scene exhibits the development aspects of the children in the kindergarten – aesthetics and creative expression; discovery of the world; language literacy; motor skills development; numeracy; social and emotional development. The wall sticker’s right scene reveals an illustrated segment of the Singapore community landscape where kids are spotted in harmonious community living within the racial and cultural diversity.
