Information Literacy for S.U.R.E.

Three unique characters were designed and alongside a series of comic strips and guidebook, they form part of the year-round information literacy campaign for National Library Board (NLB). S.U.R.E. (which stands for Source, Understand, Research and Evaluate) is part of a nation-wide campaign administered by NLB to raise awareness and encourage the application of information literacy skills.

COMIC STRIPS (BEING S.U.R.E. IS…)

Found on the S.U.R.E. Portal, the series of comic strips is targeted at teenagers to elevate awareness of information literacy. Each of the comic strips conveys a distinct message on information literacy skills and unified by the overarching theme, ‘Being S.U.R.E. is…’. Unique comic characters with strong local flavours were designed. One can easily spot Lyn (The Blur Sotong), Nur (The Kan Cheong Spider) and Zed (The Smart Aleck) getting themselves in all sorts of misinformation mishaps!

COMIC GUIDE (HOW TO BE S.U.R.E.)

The comic guide is targeted at the public of all ages and downloadable at the S.U.R.E. Portal. The comic strips within the book portray relatable accounts of how one can be S.U.R.E. when living out their everyday lives.
